5th THRACE NIGHT RUN
ALEXANDROUPOLIS – SATURDAY, MAY 3, 2025
The athletic club Dromeas Thrace, with the support of the Municipality of Alexandroupolis, is organizing the 5th Thrace Night Run on Saturday, May 3, 2025, starting and finishing at the coastal avenue of Alexandroupolis. The race is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs & Sports (GGA), the Hellenic Olympic Academy (HNOA), the Department of Physical Education & Sport Science of Komotini, and with the support of the European Commission Representation in Greece.
The race will take place under the following conditions:

5,000m and 10,000m
Circular course of 2.5 km or 5 km
19:30 – Start of the 5,000m race
20:30 – Start of the 10,000m race
5 km: Participants must be 12 years or older
10 km: Participants must be 18 years or older
The maximum number of participants is 1,200 runners across both races.
Electronic timing will be provided.
The winner (male & female) of each race and the winners of the 4 age categories in both races will receive a winner’s cup.
The top three finishers (male & female) in each category (under 40, 40-50, 50-60, and 60+) will receive winner’s medals.
All finishers will receive a commemorative medal.
All participants will receive a personal backpack.
Water stations will be available on both race routes.
Water and bananas will be provided at the finish line for all runners.
All participants must have undergone the necessary medical examinations, including a cardiological check-up, and are fully responsible for their own physical condition and ability to participate.
The organizers assume no responsibility for any injuries, damages, or other issues that may arise during or after the race.
No medical certificates will be required, as adults participate at their own risk.
By completing the online registration, participants confirm that they take full responsibility for their participation.
The organizers, in collaboration with the Head Medical Officer, EKAB emergency services, first aid personnel, the Hellenic Red Cross, and the Hellenic Rescue Team, will take all necessary measures to ensure participant safety.
Registrations will be conducted online via the official race platform until all spots are filled or until Monday, April 28, 2025.

In-person registration at the Dromeas office, located at the F. Kosmas Stadium, on weekdays from 17:00 to 20:00.
The participation fee is €12.
Public and volunteer emergency response teams will provide medical and rescue coverage during the event.
